The Precision Raceworks E9x / E8x LOW PRESSURE BUCKETED FUEL PUMPS are designed for customers looking to run all blends of E85. All pump options below include Genuine Walbro 450 (F90000274), Walbro 525 (F90000285), or Walbro 535 (F90000295) fuel pump(s) capable of flowing up to 350% more fuel than the factory fuel pump and all options are 100% E85 compliant.

  • Stage 2 (2.4 gallons per minute)
    Our Stage 2 bucketed fuel pump comes with a single Walbro 450 (F90000274) fuel pump. This pump can support up to 575whp (Rated for 500whp on 100% E85) and is ready to grow with you as your needs demand. Unlike other manufactures we are the only company featuring a bucketed kit with a modular design. This means you can purchase our stage 3 pump module or Stage 3.5 module and upgrade our pumps as your needs change.

This pump can support OVER 1,300whp* (Rated for 1150whp on 100% E85) making it capable of handling anything you can throw at it!

ASSEMBLY OPTIONS

  • Kit Only:
    • Our design was targeted to remove the need for sending your fuel pump assembly in for modification. Following the provided instructions the average home mechanic can assemble and install our kit. This means less down time and a great reduction in both assembly & shipping cost as well. Best of all you end up with your pump in the condition it was in when you pulled it from the car and run no risk of getting a housing back that is in poor condition.
    • Install is easy there is no guess work on engagement and sealing of o-ring or complications and risks tightening clamps that can poke holes in critical plastic components near by.

  • New Build:
    • If you prefer to have someone else do the work we are here for you. We offer 100% new builds please allow 2-3 business days for assembly. This option is great for the customer who plans to have a shop do the work. For about the same price you will pay in labor at the shop for assembly you get an already assembled unit ready to drop right in. So if you are looking for a 100% assembled drop in ready solution this is the choice for you! Simply select above that you would like assembly and if you have a front wheel drive car (FWD) or all wheel drive car (AWD) as the two cars use different pump cores.

While all bucketless fuel pumps flow .2gpm more than a bucket design that retains the venturi it comes at a cost. Bucketless pumps should not be driven on tanks lower than ¼ full and should not be used for road course racing. This is not a disadvantage of only bucketless designs but also a disadvantage for any bucket design which deletes the venturi. If you do not plan on road course racing (not street racing) and are responsible at maintaining ¼ tank of fuel during spirited driving bucketless pumps can be a cheaper alternative for you.

Scary at first, but very well thought out and simple to put together

<p>10/10 would recommend. </p>
<p>tl;dr [well, read it but it's long] --I purchased the modular Stage 2 bucketed kit with the single pump.</p>
<p>-Shipping : Quickly shipped, arrived undamaged. Very well packaged. I opened the package and when I tried to rebox it I couldn't get it to fit, so this was tetris level packaging. The pump was packaged inside the main box in it's own box. All the hardware was also included packaged in sealed plastic [no missing hardware rattling around in box]</p>
<p>-Assembly : After reviewing the .pdf document, I utilized a spare pump bucket I had. Stripping the old components from the old bucket assembly , following the directions . A heat gun is extremely useful. I used a precision knife to start the separation of the black parts from the bucket. Pretty simple just be slow, use heat, and minimal force. </p>
<p> Installing the kit again, go slow, measure carefully, use the recommended drill bits and go in steps. I found I had to use a larger than 7/64 bit for the push-rivet connectors, however this was easy as the 7/64 size hole was just slightly smaller than the required size. Pay attention to how you route your wires. Also pay attention to the alignment of the bracket, as well as the alignment of the fuel sock. If you get it all correct, the kit will fit. Removal of the 'alignment stoppers' in the top hat is an easy job with a small handheld dremel and some small cutoff wheels .Be sure to measure the alignment rods as specified to ensure the correct stack height. If the stack height is too tall you will have problems installing everything into the tank.</p>
<p>- Installation : This was easily the most difficult part, as getting the return lines to point back into/over the bucket takes some patience, small hands, and good gasoline resistant gloves. I actually ended up using safety wire as well as zip-ties to secure the return lines into the bucket. There are many holes drilled into the bracket that helps this process. Just be slow, and then reconnect your feed and return lines. </p>
<p>- First Startup. : I first connected the fuel level sensor connector just to be sure I got that part right. If your sender gets hung up on it wont read the fuel level correctly. I would check that first. IF that's working, tighten down the ring [using the nice included fuel tank ring tool ] , re-connect the hoses and power side. If everything was done correctly your startup should be fine. I noticed my idle hpfp levels were elevated above what I had observed, so I believe this is a positive indicator. All in all I would have to say this was a success and I am also glad this kit offers an upgrade if one is needed in the future. Well thought out and nice.. Thanks ! </p>
<p>Some things to be aware of -</p>
<p>-- 7/64 may be too small for the push rivets</p>
<p>-- Use some silicone or lube on the oring seals for the pump into the manifold and the manifold onto the steel plate.</p>
<p>-- 3 [or was it 4] mm allen key [right angled one] is a handy tool as some of the screws can be challenging if your are using a short allen tool .</p>
<p>-- Heat gun is your friend both in removing the factory parts from the bucket [you will damage it without heat] and for installing the siphon line to the manifold. Proper hose dyke pliers or similar will also be a plus as the manifold to siphon line is small and you do not want to break that part.</p>
